1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("User," "you") and IOwnMyCareer.co ("IOwnMyCareer.co," "we," "us," "our") governing your access to and use of the Platform, including its website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Service").

By registering for or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of the Service

IOwnMyCareer.co provides career development tools for job seekers, including:

• Vision and goal setting and progress tracking
• Personal SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) self-assessment
• Job application tracking
• Job search functionality, including listings sourced from IOwnMyCareer.co directly and/or third-party job boards

The Service is provided as a career management and organizational tool. We do not guarantee employment, interviews, or any specific career outcome.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to work in your jurisdiction (or preparing to enter the workforce) to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

4. Account Registration and Security

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
• Notify us immediately at support@iownmycareer.co if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

5. User Content

"User Content" means any information you submit to the Service, including your vision/goal statements, SWOT entries, application notes, uploaded documents (e.g. resumes), and search activity.

• Ownership: You retain ownership of your User Content.
• License to us: You grant IOwnMyCareer.co a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display your User Content solely to operate and improve the Service.
• Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the User Content you submit. Do not upload content that is false, infringing, defamatory, or that discloses others' personal data without consent.
• Deletion: You may delete User Content at any time through your account settings, subject to the retention terms in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person or entity
• Upload malicious code, attempt to breach security, or interfere with the Service's normal operation
• Scrape, harvest, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without written permission
• Use the Service to spam, harass, or send unsolicited communications to other users or employers
• Upload another person's personal or application data without their consent

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.

7. Job Listings and Third-Party Content

• Job listings displayed on the Platform may be sourced from third-party job boards, employer feeds, or public listings. We do not independently verify the accuracy, availability, or legitimacy of every listing and are not responsible for the hiring practices of employers listed.
• Applying to a job through or as tracked by the Platform does not guarantee your application was received, reviewed, or considered by the employer.
• Exercise your own judgment before sharing personal information with, or applying to, any listed employer. Report suspicious or fraudulent listings to support@iownmycareer.co.

8. Intellectual Property

All Platform software, design, branding, text, graphics, and other content (excluding User Content) are owned by IOwnMyCareer.co or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.

9. Third-Party Links and Integrations

The Service may contain links to, or integrations with, third-party websites, job boards, or tools (e.g. resume builders, learning platforms). We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Use of any third-party service is governed by that party's own terms.

10. Subscription and Payment

• Certain features may require a paid subscription, billed on a monthly or annual basis.
• Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or explicitly stated at the time of purchase.
• We may change pricing with reasonable prior notice.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Job search results, recommendations, or third-party listings are accurate, complete, or current
• Use of the Service will result in employment or any particular career outcome

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IOwnMyCareer.co and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or employment opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Since the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed ₹0 (zero), to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless IOwnMyCareer.co from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Termination

• You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or harmful activity, or as required by law.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; provisions that by their nature should survive (e.g. Sections 8, 11, 12, 13) will continue to apply.

15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

• Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, India; or
• Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through arbitration conducted in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seated in Pune, India, with proceedings conducted in English.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-Platform notice, with reasonable prior notice before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
